What is a Bookkeeper?

What is a bookkeeper? What does a bookkeeper do? Tw0 frequently asked questions. Both incredibly important so let me tell you.

When you are running a business, you as the owner/partner are running the day-to-day operations. You are putting in the hard work to keep bills paid, collect money from clients, hire/fire/organize employees, market yourself and so much more. Bookkeepers are assets you bring onto your team to outsource a huge part of the behind the scenes work so that you have more time and less stress to keep the business running and growing. A good bookkeeper can provide you with a clear financial picture of how well your business is operating by providing the numbers to you in the income statement, balance sheets, cash flow statement and a few others. Numbers do not lie - it does not matter how you feel you are doing financially, it does not matter the amount of money in your bank account if you have loans that you owe coming up soon. A good bookkeeper helps you see the numbers and understand what they mean. Bookkeepers also keep your information organized so that come tax time you can provide the financials to your tax preparer and not be frantically gathering receipts and documents!

It is never too late to get organized so if you need help setting up or cleaning up your books then let’s take that step. If you are already organized but you want to take back some hours in your life, lets partner!
